Idea Cellular launch 2 new Dual-SIM Android Smartphones

Idea Cellular is releasing 2 new smartphones in India. Following the success of their self-branded phones the mobile network operator has added the Idea Ultra + and Idea Fab to their range, with both devices running the Android operating system.

The Ultra+ is a dual SIM smartphone that runs on Android 4.2.2 and has 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Featuring a stylish leather back finish, the Ultra+ boasts a 5 inch screen with a 480×854 pixel resolution, making it ideal for users to complete tasks such as sending emails, browsing the net and playing at android casinosthat cater to this OS. This smartphone also comes with an 8-megapixel camera and on-board flash, an internal storage space of 4GB, and a slot for microSD cards of up to 32GB. The Ultra+ runs on a 2000mAH battery and the ODM is Alcatel, who are working with Idea to upgraded the Ultra+ to be able to run KitKat in the foreseeable future.

The Idea Fab is the budget version of the Ultra+ and has a smaller 4 inch screen with a 480×800 pixel resolution. This smartphone will be manufactured by Commtel and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Also a dual-SIM device, the phone features a 3.2 megapixel rear facing camera, but lacks the front facing camera of the Ultra+. 4GB of built in storage, a slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB, 512MB of RAM and a 1.2GHz dual processor power the smart phone, and despite this device being touted as the budget option it still offers plenty of value for money and a superior user experience.

Both the Idea Ultra + and Idea Fab are targeting India’s key 3G markets and Idea Cellular will be selling these devices through their retail stores. Chief marketing Officer Sashi Shankar has also stated that these newly released phones will form part of promotional offers, and that Idea Cellular will use a below-the-line-marketing strategy to make 3G enabled smartphones more accessible to those in the low and mid segment price category.
