Five Specs Kindle Fire 2 Should Use To Top Nexus 7

Most of gadgets geeks are waiting for the Nexus 7. You may be aware that Nexus 7 has some great features for a bargain tablet, including a 1.2 megapixel camera, a 1280 x 800 pixel screen resolution with an HD display and the latest version of Android Jelly Beans OS 4.1. The 8GB is for $199 and the 16GB is for $249.

If you’re Amazon, what are you going to do? You do have a tablet with better processor, screen and overall quality that cancompete with the Kindle at the same price of $199. The rumors now are all about the new specs and price of Kindle Fire 2 and whether it will top Nexus 7 or not.

Some websites reported that the Kindle Fire 2 will be released by the end of July 2012 although it didn’t. However, no one knows when the Kindle Fire 2 will be released and even Amazon did not comment upon reaching this date and the device hasn’t been released yet.

The problem that Nexus 7 will face is the lack of accessories. Kindle Fire is in the Market for almost a year; that’s enough time to find all the accessories you need, like kindle covers, skins, headphones and more. There are several accessories for the Kindle Fire available here as well : wrappz.com

The Nexus 7 with these specs no doubt will be better than Kindle Fire, but the question is how Kindle Fire 2 becomesbetter than the Nexus 7. Here are five important points that Amazon should put into consideration to Top Nexus 7.

The Storage

  • Kindle Fire comes with only 8GB of storage space while Nexus 7 comes with two types of storage 8GB and 16GB.The bad news is that Kindle Fire has only 8GB devices with 6GB available for user storage. Kindle Fire 2 must come with a 16GB release so Google won’t take the market share toping Amazon with the storage
Better Display
  • The first Kindle Fire came with 1024×600 screen resolution. At that time, it was okay because most tablets were almost with the same display. For example, Barnes & Noble’s Nook tablet had the same resolution and shared the Market with Amazon.
Enhance the graphics
  • It’s hard to believe that a tablet with $199 will have graphics that run “NFS: Most wanted”, but these expectation may somehow come true. Google added a 12-core graphics to Nexus 7. Now the question is how Amazon is going to combat?
Near Field Communication (NFC)
  • A technology that enables users to transfer data and exchange information by tapping two devices with NFC enabled together. Most of the tablets today don’t support the NFC feature (including the new iPad). The Kindle Fire is a device that was built mainly for buying books or Apps or anything from Amazon’s perspective, so the device should include an NFC to exchange these files.
Quad-Core CPU
  • The Kindle Fire processor worked perfect when Amazon released the tablet this year, but due to the new apps and games the tablet became slow. Google comes with a Quad-Core chip in the Nexus 7 which means multitasking apps, better video streaming and faster browsing. I just hope that the New Kindle Fire goes for Quad-Core too.
