My Passport Wireless, an easy to use Wi-Fi enabled storage drive

A Western Digital company, WD, recently released an easy to use WiFi enabled storage device, known as My Passport Wireless, which allow you to save, operate, transfer and share stored content wirelessly with any device. The device can be used in smartphone, tablets, computers and notebooks and it is a portable device that can be carried anywhere. Western Digital is a leader of storage devices which has produced high performance hard disks and solid state drives. Established in 1970 and headquartered in California, WD is a complete solution for storing digital content. How My Passport Wireless works?

My Passport Wireless allows up to 8 devices to connect at a single time. The device can be connected wirelessly without any internet connection and users can seamlessly transfer a large amount of data. Optionally, users can transfer data with a high speed USB 3.0 connection. My Passport Wireless has an in-built rechargeable battery which supports up to 6 hours of continuous streaming and up to 20 hours of standby. In short, My Passport Wireless is perfect for travelling and accompanying you while you’re on the go. The device lets you access content anywhere, anyplace my using the WD My Cloud mobile app which is available for iOS and Android devices.

The device easily connects WD My Cloud after a single set up. After the set up is done, you can effortlessly connect and navigate around by accessing and sharing the drive content. My Passport Wireless also supports cameras and allows you to shoot and store high resolution images and videos with its integrated SD card slot which is perfect for commercial photography and videography. The device also has an integrated FTP that helps connect wireless cameras so that users can easily and automatically transfer photos from the camera to the drive.

My Passport Wireless comes in three storage options- 500GB, 1TB and 2TB, which is quite huge. The 1TB model is priced Rs. 12,000 and the 2TB model costs Rs. 17,000. The product is available online, as well as with WD’s IT partners and retail stores. The WD My Cloud mobile apps can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS devices and the Play Store for Android devices.
