Recently I bought inexpensive Ocean HD Action Video Camera. First, this action camera has 5 megapixel sensor and can record video at 720p. Action camera is best for shooting sports and action videos. This camera comes with waterproof housing to take videos under water.

Once I opened the box I can see the access the camera itself which sits inside the waterproof housing. There is another regular box which had the that works with the camera.
In the second box, I can find instruction manual, helmet mount, bike mount, and Velcro strap. There is an extra case to use action camera without waterproof housing. Sadly car mount is not included in this accessories pack .
Ocean HD Action Video Camera
The camera is small and light weight. The top of the camera has power button, shutter release button and microphone. Left hand side of the camera has no buttons. The right hand side of the camera has a sliding button to change the camera mode for still, video and playback options.
The bottom of the camera has Mini USB port and micro SD card slot which supports up to 32 GB storage. This camera also has a small LCD display and 3 buttons next to the display to control playback, menu and zoom options, green and red led lights.
This small action camera has 5 megapixel camera to take pictures and 720p video recording. The mini USB port is used to charge the camera itself and also to transfer the content on the micro SD card that is used on the camera. When the charging cable is connected the red led light glows to show the status of the charging. Once the charge is completed the red led light goes off.
The action camera comes with waterproof housing. Personally I tested the camera and housing works well as promised. The top of the housing has 2 buttons to power on the action camera and also to start and stop recording using the camera. There is lock on the side of the waterproof housing to secure the camera itself.
There is a separate mode for still camera, video and playback options. Changing the mode with housing is not possible. The battery backup of the camera is important since it has 400 mAh battery. I wiped my entire 32 GB SD card and after full charge to test the camera itself. The surprising thing is I can find recordings for 1 hour and 27 minutes. I used 32 GB SanDisk micro SD card ultra which worked like a charm. I also tried with 2 GB micro SD card which can record only 9 minutes of 720p video. The camera can be charged using the supplied mini USB cable and it take around 2 hours to fully charge the device itself. With the same mini usb cable I can transfer the contents of the camera to a PC or using card reader.

I can adjust many setting in this action camera. I can set date, timestamp date on photos, power frequency, image or video quality. There is a power saving mode, set the time for auto LCD off to improve the battery life of the Action camera.
The quality of the output is important. The picture quality is good in bright sunlight. I can see noise in the pictures which I took during the low light. The video quality of this action camera is good. There should not be any larger movements to the camera while recording video, otherwise the video will not be good. If you are using the camera. Too much of vibration to the camera will result in poor video quality. Apart from that video is really good.
Verdict
