Unlike everyone else here ( as well as those who are eager to upgrade to WP 3.0 ) ; I will disagree as to the new version of WP . WP 2.9 was far better and I strongly urge anyone who has not made the upgrade to wait until it is out of Beta Testing . WP3 version is bloated ( from a developers standpoint ) and prior to making the upgrade there are several factors to consider : The main factor is : many themes were affected – as certain functions went awry – secondly : before making the upgrade , look at your existing installed plugins – once you upgrade , 87% of already existing plugins have become Incompatible – and so far , I havent seen their Authors revising or upgrading those plugins ! I had to manually code my own twitter plugin ( using Python ) – because : NONE of the existing twitter plugins were compatible with my WP 3 version ( Not a single ONE ! ) and moreover : the one I was running was causing my theme some serious issues ( which I didnt realize until I removed it ! – and still, my theme was affected by the removal ! which is insane ) . I wish I knew then what I know now – because I would have never upgraded to a version which is still in Beta ๐ Besides that : I truly dont find anything useful in WP 3 which one cant perform manually on their own – and if anyone who reads this is still using WP 2.9 – I strongly urge you to remain on it until WP 3 is OUT OF BETA test mode .

Every New Version always have bugs! for me it worked in a perfect way and my plugins too worked well ! i also heard that lot of template and plugins are not compactable . theme and plugin author must have finished their job early with beta and RC release of WordPress! I accept you Mia, those how has not updated can wait for a time, all plugin authors and theme developers are busy converting their work to WP 3.0
