Google+ for Android and iOS got updates. Now you can hangout right from your Android (Ver 2.3 +) or iPhone. I have tried Google Plus hangout on iPhone with Srivatsan. The Audio and video quality is good, Since I tried over WiFi Connection. You can also do hangouts on 3G network.
